Brief Answer:
Persistent (chronic) nausea is usually due to problem with stomach motility

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Chronic nausea / persistent nausea is most commonly a result of a problem with how the stomach wall (muscle in the stomach) contract.

If you suffer from IBS, then the entire GI tract will be affected, and hence it is not very uncommon for people to also experience symptoms of stomach distention and regurgitation and chronic nausea.

The underlying problem is called gastroparesis and GERD.

You must consult a gastroenterologist as soon as possible and get yourself examined to find out if you have gastroparesis by undergoing an endoscopic examination of the stomach.

You can reduce the symptoms by sitting up for 2 hours or more after every meal, and taking Esomeprazole tablet 40 milligrams twice daily.

Please consult a gastroenterologist as early as possible and get yourself examined, you can get back to me with the findings and we can discuss further.

I hope I have been of some help. Wishing you speedy recovery.

Regards
