Brief Answer:
Soft tissue injuries are painful.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain and persistent spasms are likely to be due to a soft tissue injury. If you can walk properly and there is no sharp shooting pain down the legs then there is no need to worry. The pain and spasms do take 2-3 weeks to subside completely. You are taking the right treatment. Do continue with it. Increase your fluid intake and do a hot compress in the area of injury for better relief.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
