I have seen the attached MRI picture. This is just a single photo. Please upload the complete report given by the radiologist to understand your problem better.
Mild hypertrophy of the facet joint is a minor arthritic change. If there is no nerve root compression or herniated discs then there is no need to worry.
For symptomatic relief you need to start with oral muscle relaxants like Cataflam and methylcobalamin supplements. This will help in reducing the nerve related symptoms. Avoid doing the exercise till the acute pain subsides. Doing hot fomentation and TENS will help in reducing the pain.
