Posted on Wed, 24 Sep 2014
Question: Dear Sir/Madame,

I had been having spicy food for almost a week maybe Because of which i had slight constipation at times but a burning sensation whenever i pooped for the folowing 2-3 days. Last night SUddenly though my Anus started itching really badly , the worst kind of itching i have ever experienced but not painful and had a burning sensation whenever i tried to excrete. It also has red rashes around it now. Though the itching subsided after i applied some oil there, it still is itching considerably lesser now though. And its 6 in the morning where im from.
2) Secondly, This might be completely different or related to the anus itching... The foreskin of my penis was giving a burning sensation when i was retracting it fully when erected.. due to which i washed it with soap and even the foreskin and the penis head (the foreskin more) have been itching for over a day.. Please help and answer as soon as possible because the itch is really bad and though it has subsided after being uo the enitre night it still hasnt completely stopped
Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
? Fungal Infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

Your history and symptoms are suggesting me that you may be having fungal infection.

Burning sensation in the anus may be due irritation of the anal mucosa caused by consuming dpicy food.

The fungal infection in anal region and genitals are common because these are the normal comensals along with the moisture in this area makes environment suitable for the growth of the fungus and their symptoms.

I Would suggest you to take stool softener like syp Duphalac which will reduces the burning sensation, take single dose Tab Diflucan 150 mg orally and apply anti fungal cream like miconazole cream over the itchy area which will reduces the symptoms. In addition to this keep these area clean and dry.

These aforementioned measures will help to reduce the symptoms and improve your condition.
Thank you.

Hello Sir,

Thank u for your reply . I forgot to mention that the burning sensation on erected foreskin stopped as soon as i washed it. And i found traces of underwear clothing which i had worn for the first time. Can a new underwear if worn unwashed cause this irritation maybe ? My family wants me to take a deworming tablet just in case that is the cause of the itching. Is it possible that the itching of anus and penis foreskin are not related after all ? Would like to bother u with one last question.. Is there something i can apply for the itch if it happens as severely again tonight so that it can be bearable.. Thank u so much for your valuable time sir..

Brief Answer:
Allergy to New cloths possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome Back to Healthcare Magic,

There is a possibility of allergy to the new undergarments. The deworming tablet has got no role in controlling your symptoms.

As I have informed earlier apply anti fungal cream like miconazole cream over the itchy area which will reduces the symptoms. In addition to this you can take oral anti histamines like Tab Citrizine to reduce itching.

Thank you.
