Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. I have reviewed your information completely and this pain seems very non specific. Its location doesn't tie it down to a single organ like the spleen that may explain it. Also, the spleen is rarely responsible for abdominal pain. The most likely origin of this pain would be from the soft tissues. With no digestive tract related symptoms at this time, the muscles could be the origin.

For now, I will like that you monitor this pain and obtain more information. Do regular exercises, eat healthy and drink enough fluids and report the progress of this pain to me over the next days. Should it get worse, then we may want to be ore aggressive. For now, I will rather adopt a less aggressive approach and recommend pain medications like Tylenol to help with this. Are all the symptoms of your IBS resolved? Are there any other symptoms that you may want to share with me at this point?

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

I feel it just under the skin,it almost feels like guitar strings, but one when touched is in pain, the Ibs issues have not gone away yet, restroom habits are normal now,the only thing is that certain foods trigger me to get a pain in my stomach now, where before the problems I had a month ago did not before, just hoping I can get back to normal soon, have not been back to the doc yet cause all the want to do I is run tests.as far as specifics as to where the pain is coming from, left side just under the rib cage, right under the arm pit area but below the rib,and you can feel it when trying to touch it,frost like bands, not lumps, had a full body massage last week on Tuesday, would not think that would make things worse

Hi and thanks for following up with me.

I have reviewed this pain and certain it does not represent a life threatening condition. I always like to be less aggressive, gather more information for orientation and diagnosis before moving over to investigations and aggressive measures if there is no life threatening condition.

For now, try the measures I outlined and let's see what th progress is. If we are not satisfied with progress, then I would join your doctors on suggesting that we run some tests to look for possible causes beyond the muscles.

Keep me updated and posted on the evolution of your symptoms.
