Question : my son is constipdated for past 2 months doctor gave levolik and some times suppositories and later he prescribed laxopeg even that is not working can u give a permanent solution can i use picomom syrup

In constipation, hypothyroidism needs to be ruled out.

You should do thyroid levels in child.

Laxopeg is the safest drug in children with constipation. It should be used during acute phase only. Laxopeg should be given for one to two days whenever constipation occurs. For long term relief, we need to rule out diseases like hypothyroidism and diet rich in fibers like salad should be given in each meal. Additionally, you should do ultrasound abdomen also.

Picomom is not recommended in children.
