According the history posted here, it is very much possible to do permanent orthodontic treatment for correction of gap between teeth.
Now,since the history posted here does not elaborate upon the type of mal-alignment you have.
Therefore I would require the photograph of your teeth.
Close your teeth tightly & then retract your lips then take an image and attach here.
