I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections but they are not likely to last so long. In such a scenario a thorough examination of your chest and a Chest X ray would yield valuable information and I would insist you to go for the same. Please mention if you are a smoker, if so, for how long. Also mention if you have any other associated symptoms.

As of now I would insist you to go for steam inhalation.
