Question : hi , my son who is almost 7 years old, weighing 40 kgs is suffering from caugh formation and cold. kindly suggest suitable medicine. we are also giving him stream inhalation twice in a day but situation is not improving. thank you

Can understand your concerns.

Cough formation and cold can occur in upper respiratory tract infection.

Steam inhalation should be continued.

In my opinion, you should give a cough syrup like chericof or cheston cs 5 ml three times a day for 3 days. If there is no improvement in 24 hours then get child examined by a doctor.

Antibiotic cannot be prescribed without examination so if symptoms persists after 24 hours then an examination by doctor is necessary.
