Question : My baby is 4 month old. She is having cold n cough. By mistake I gave around 1ml drop of mucolite syrup. I'm really worried now. What would be the side effect of overdosage in 4 month old baby

Hi...I understand your concern. Mucolite drops contains Ambroxol, which is not licensed for use in this age group.

Please avoid this medicine for your baby in future.

the usual side effects of Ambroxal include -
Mild gastrointestinal effects like diarrhea
Nausea
Vomiting
Indigestion

You be on the gaurd for this side effects. But you need not worry about the 1 ml dose which you have given. It will not cause any serious side effects.
