Can you give more details.
1. When did the symptoms start?
2. Any fever?
3. Does he get Wheezing with cough frequently? Any previous episodes?
4. Is it more in.The night?
5. Any other symptoms like vomiting throat pain etc.
I usually start with expectorant like mucolite syrup 3 ml thrice daily for such kids.
A proper clinical examination is necessary to identify the sounds and relate them to illness.

Asthalin syrup

Detailed Answer:
Based on your details it looks like he gets Wheezing often with cough which indicates allergic phenomenon.
I usually add bronchodilators like asthalin syrup at the same dose as mucolite ( both can be given three times daily) .
However if symptoms persist or worsen it is better to get him examined by your doctor.
For repeated Wheezing also try monteluekast at 4 mg per day daily in the evening for a few months. If it controls the symptoms you can safely continue for few months.
