Question : Hi Team ,

I am having cough since last 3 weeks and I did not visit any doctor yet and took some anti biotics by asking medical shop and also driking peper water but still cough is not going. May I know which doctor is best to visit and do I need to take any tests ?

Cough for more than 3 weeks with sputum should be investigated by sputum culture and sensitivity. Do you have fever associated with cough?

You should consult pulmonologist or internal medicine specialist.

Hi Nagamani ,

I did not get any fever however I have a cold cough and flem keeps coming out .
This has occurred once I stopped smoking and how do I get rid of this ?

As suggested earlier get sputum culture done. Meanwhile for temporary relief you can take Syr. Ascoril or Grilinctus 5 ml 3 times a day for 5 days.
