Question : Good morning. Tight chest, deep cough, headache, severe chills last night, no sniffles, no sinus or nostril burn. On 500 mg Levoquan, 1 x7 days. No real improvement. Feverish. No body aches. Left ear sounds like a squishy sponge. Minute clinic checked me yesterday. Not impressed.

Brief Answer:
Continue with antibiotics and other symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for posting your query on HCM.

It seems you have got a bout of lower respiratory tract infection. You should continue with levaquin as it's only 2nd day. Along.with that you may take nebulization with duolin and budecort 2 to 3 times a day, Tylenol or any other pain killer for fever, chills and bodyache and some cough syrup.Take rest, warm liquids and a balanced diet. You will soon recover. If symptoms do not subside after the course of antibiotics you should see a pulmonologist who can examine you and get necessary investigations done and prescribe the treatment.

Take care.
