Suggest Treatment For Coughing With Mucus

Question : I have had a persistent cough with plenty of mucus. So far I have just kept coughing it up and tossing the tissue. Could not sleep tonight because of the cough so I just swallowed the mucus and that seemed to help but that seems counter-productive

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Although swallowing cough would not be counterproductive, I would not really encourage it. I would insist you to take steam inhalation. It will help in diluting the cough and making it more productive.
