Brief Answer:
Needs ketaconazole shampoo

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Cradle cap can become a great irritant for both parents and the baby.
Sometimes it may take a longer time to settle.
In your baby it looks like hair would have fallen along with the crust.
This does happen sometimes with cradle cap babies.
Don't worry.
It is not something you need to worry of.
Continue soft brushing, mild baby shampoo and try ketaconazole shampoo twice a week to get rid of the fungus in the scales.
If still not improving ask your doctor about mild steroid ointment like hydrocortisone. This can be safely used for a short period.
Wishing your child good health.
Regards
Dr Arun
