Brief Answer:
Allergic rhinitis

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Thanks for your query.

A. The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to Allergic rhinitis.
The sensation of headache & lousiness is due to the inflammation & congestion of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses or superimposed infection.

B. Claritin D is a combination of Loratadine and Pseudoephedrine.
Pseudoephedrine acts as a decongestant.
Loratadine is an antihistamine that provides symptomatic relief from sneezing and runny nose. It also causes mild sedation which might have countered the effect of caffeine pill and resulted in difficulty in waking up.

C. Presented with similar complaints, I usually treat my patients with:
1. Tablet Allegra 60 mg/ Tablet Levocetrizine 5 mg twice a day and Tablet Montelukast 10 mg in the evening.
2. Analgesic, anti-inflammatory preparations like Paracetamol to take care of headache.
3. Nasal decongestants.
4. A course of antibiotics to tackle any superimposed infection.
5. Steam inhalation.
6. Stay protected from exposure to cold, dust & other allergens.
7. Avoid smoking, cold food & drinks, maintain adequate hydration & take soft, non-spicy foods.

Clinical examination is important for diagnosis, so I will advise you to consult your Doctor for a proper clinical examination.
Investigations like complete blood count & X-ray of paranasal sinus will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
