Suggest Treatment For Crusty Lump On Forearms

Question: I am a 67 year old male who never ventures into the sun but about 9-10 months ago I discovered a lump om my l. forearm that is raised pink, irregular border and has a crusty surface. It doesnt bleed or ooze . I have been told that the crusty part was plaque or dead skin but I'm not sure!
Anyway......... last night I accidentally hit the crusty part and of course it came off! I put alcohol on it and covered it with a band aid! This morning I pulled off the band aid and where the crusty part was started to bleed! Is this normal and will it crust over again assuming its BCC?
I covered it again a minute or so ago and put alchohol on it.
From all I have read and seen it appears NOT to be SCC and not melanoma as melanoma buy all intents and purposes is almost always a Black surface.
I know I need to get it looked at but in the meantime can you please advize?
The pic I am attaching is before I pulled off the plaque or dead skin.
Will it eventually plaque or cover over again if I leave it alone? Should I let it air dry or keep it temporarily covered?

Brief Answer:
psoriasis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is difficult to say just with appearance.
However the most probable diagnosis would be single plaque psoriasis.
A biopsy is must to diagnose your condition.
There is nothing to worry as it not appearing like carcinoma or melanoma.
Just relax and meet your doctor.
Feel free to ask any other doubts.
Thank you

Thank you Dr.
So in your expert opinion it does not appear to be SCC ?
Will it eventually crust over again? Should I keep it open or should I cover it?
