Brief Answer:
different possible causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are some different reasons that cuts can take a while to heal such as: (1) presence of an infection in the cut or surrounding area- redness, increasing pain and tenderness, increasing warmth , discharge, increasing swelling

(2) if the cut is being irritated by clothes or other aggravating sources. If the cut is in contact with clothes or abraded consistently by furniture or other problems, then this may be a problem

(3)history of diabetes or other illness that affect the immune system

(4)use of steroids eg for asthma or other medical condition, can also affect the immune system and delay healing

If you are diabetic or have another condition (or using meds) that affect the immune system , then you may have to see your doctor for assessment of the cut if it is severe

If this is not the case and the cut is not severe, then cleaning twice daily with anti septic (such as dilute hydrogen peroxide) and applying a topical antibiotic twice daily may be enough.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
