Question : Dear Doc,

This is XXXXhere. My query pertain to my wife, who is having a cyst in her left ovary.

She has completed her antibiotic course as suggested by you.

Repeat of the tests have been done. CA125 is now 16. Cyst size is 38 x 35.

The CA 125 has returned to normal.

This is good news as it means its not cancer and just an infective cause.

But the cyst size has increased slightly ( last was 31x28 mm)

I will advise you to just keep serially following her cyst with an ultrasound every month.

A 38 x 35 mm cyst needs no treatment as long it does not give symptoms or increase more than 50mm x 50 mm.

If it does we need to take it out laparoscopically and see what exactly it is.

As of now there is nothing to worry.
