Can be treated with topical antifungals.

Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
Thanks for posting to us.

Dandruff is a superficial fungal infection of the scalp, causing scaling/desquamation and increased hair fall.
After confirming the diagnosis, we can treat this condition with topical antifungals like ketoconazole shampoo/lotion. This is used twice weekly for 6-8 weeks.
But, as this is a prescription medicine, kindly see your doctor before starting application.
Meanwhile, keep scalp area always clean and dry, and avoid excessive sweating.

Hope this answer will help .
If you have further questions , I will be happy to help.
Wishing you good health .
Thank you.

So do you think the dandruff can go away and i will gain back my hair? I did lose an extensive amount of hair after I started having dandruff. I didn't think it was related. Thank you so much. I will go to a doctor.
