Question : Hi, Last month I had fight with my brother & he threw a plastic bottle filled with water on my face. This caused a swelling & blood clot just under my eyes. The swelling & the clot reduced however it has left a dark patch under my eyes which looks like a dark circle.I have a fair complexion so its very clearly seen. Please suggest, how do I get rid of it? Its under my right eye. Hope to get rid of it ASAP.

Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well going through your entire history I would like to tell you that your doctor has advised you rightly , that it will subside on its own and nothing is to be done . It is going to take to take time and best is that it heals on its own , otherwise scar may persist.
Black eye is due to coagulated blood which gets resorbed by itself . Still if you want to accelerate healing you can use serratiopeptidase , it will help in early resorption.
Take care.

                                    Hi Dr. XXXXXXX
Thank you very much for the immediate response. Serratiopeptidase is that a tablet or some lotion or ointment? If its a tablet what is the dosage I should follow for how many days. If I keep hot water pack will that help in early resorption? Gradually means, does it takes years to go? Because its more than a month now. I am worried if the scar will remain forever.

Dear Madam,
Thanks for reverting back.
Serratiopeptidase is a tablet form and it can be found alone or in combination with pain killers . You can take it for 5-7 days . But I would advise you to avoid it as it will gradually go in a month or so and you can do hot water fomentation , its advisable .
Scar will not be there forever dont worry but it will take time to subside.
