Suggest Treatment For Depression And Anxiety
Question: Dear Doctor, I will try to explain my medical issues as best as I can. I suffer from anxiety,depression, and panic disorder. I take 10 mg Lexapro 1 x a day, and Adivan 1 mg x 4 a day. My doctor increased my Lexapro from 10 to 15 mg a day because I was not feeling well as of late. Well, this change made me feel 10 times worse, so I went back to 10 mg a day, but I still don't feel well. The symptoms I continue to feel are depersonalization,detached,foggy in thought/actions all the time. Lack of sleep,dizzy,sound sensitivity,fearful,hard to concentrate and other very unpleasant thoughts. What really is upsetting is these symptoms are very difficult to try to understand and comprehend, which makes my anxiety EXTREMELY HARD TO COPE WITH. trying to explain how I feel to others is practically impossible because they just are unable to understand. this leads to for me, anger,dispare,aloneness and panic. Can you please get back to me Dr. thank you.

First of all depression improve slowly and it takes time and for anxiety there are drugs which acts immediate and alleviates anxiety.
All symptoms you are describing is suggestive of depression.
As you are suffering from Depression and anxiety you need a drug which acts best on both and according to me first of all control of anxiety is necessary.
you an start Benzodiazepins drug SOS or on regular basis for sometimes and as your anxiety control you can taper it down with help of your doctor.
SNRI ( Serotonin nor-epinephrine re uptake inhibitor ) are best medication for controlling both depression and anxiety in better way.
So discuss with your treating doctor.
