Question: Hi,I am 19 years old, i am in too much depression and tension because i dont know what to talk to my age group people,the they talk and laugh,they are very XXXXXXX and they have girl friends,they talk to girls freely,i dont know why but i am not like those children,i try to change myself everytime but could change myself like them and it happens with me everytime, i dont talk like them i talk like mature people, when they talk they express their ideas and views and had a great time but at the same time i remain quite because i dont get anything like that to talk like,i want to talk to girls and have gf but i cant talk in the way that they could laugh with me and get attract to my word while others easily do this and thats why i feel very disappointed and sit in a corner and no one come to ask for me because i dont talk like them i dont get ideas like them instantily to.share and laugh or make fun of friends because i think like big peoples. this all causes me very very disappointed and i dont want to face any one, i dont have that attitude and whenever i see girls or any smart attitude boy i just want to run from there because i dont have that attitude what others have, so on social network also my same condition,i dont have confidence to talk to some other people outside i sometime not able to speak properly,so how to get that attitude and become smart because i try my level best to change but when i fail to do it causes me more hopeless because im facing this problem since years, so this seriously affect my life and causes deepression and i never focous on my studies due to this. Please help

I want to know that when i get very upset and feel very disappointed then automatically after few days i get very happy and become confident and also it seems that i will not again get back i talk to everyone and i dont feel any shy to talk but again slowly in few days i again automatically get disappointed and feel that i cannot change and this situation is repeating since many years. Is this is natural or any kind of mental problem.

I understand your concern.

You possibly seem to have dysthymia.

This is mild mood disorder associated with episodes of mild depression.

But to coin this word, you should have the above symptoms for at least 2years.

This mood disorder is quite common in general population.

I generally recommend my short course of medications like SSRI's for 6-12 months.They have excellent outcome in controlling the depressive episodes and overall wellbeing XXXXXXX patients responded pretty well to this drug therapy.This therapy will increase the serotonin levels in the brain and will cause all comfortable changes.Please check with your physicain if shares my view.

Another thing i want to know about myself is that- i am grown up in pressure,since everytime i was told to do things like this like that, and dont do this why you have done this,you.dont know how to do,etc. So now i see that an 8 year child can talk better than me he is more XXXXXXX than me and today also in my home im asked for everything and adviced to do things according to them,i never let free to think myself and do what i want. And thats why today my condition is that i can not talk to anyone freely, when i have to go to talk then i have to think what i should sat to him. I say what i have thought but dont know what to talk later. But i see that smaller children can talk better than me they dont think and come what to talk they just start,so i am troubling alot with this problem. I have to remain keep quite infront of my classmates because i dont know what to talk and what to talk. I hope u undetstand my concern.

2. Put Yourself In a Resourceful State of Mind.
It includes
Excitement;Enthusiasm;Determination;Compassion; andPlayfulness.

3. Pretend That You’re Confident.

4. Move Toward Self-Confidence by Taking Small, Consistent Steps.

Keep imagining versions of yourself that are just a bit happier, more enthusiastic, more passionate, and more determined than the version before. Keep taking action in order to keep stepping into these better versions of yourself, until you feel yourself overflowing with confidence.

5. Take Better Care of Yourself.

Eat nutritious food and Have regular exercise.
Make time to meditate, read novels by your favorite authors, or participate in some other activity that you enjoy.

6. Distance Yourself From People Who Bring You Down.

7. Stop Being So Hard On Yourself and live life to the best of yourself.
