Suggest Treatment For Depression, Anxiety Attacks And Negative Suicidal Thoughts

Question: So I've always had a love for music. Always. Since I was a little kid. But earlier this year (start of the second semester of XXXXXXX year), I started feeling like I was losing it. I would freak out every day and my parents hated it because it's always been something I never wanted to lose interest in. Now I don't feel as happy picking up my guitar. I don't feel as happy listening to music. I started crying every day. Having anxiety attacks every day. I didn't wanna be awake because of the sadness that enveloped me but I didn't wanna sleep because I over-think when I close my eyes and send myself into an anxiety attack. Even now that school's over and I graduate tomorrow, I still get this and it's gotten worse. I broke down two nights ago and my friend stayed up with me. I admitted to him that I didn't wanna be alive anymore, but I wouldn't do anything because I'm too religious for that. I just want to enjoy playing my music again. I don't know what's been going on with me lately, but anything that used to make me smile doesn't. I just hate it.

Brief Answer:
probably depression, needs to be treated.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

Dear,
I understand your concerns.

Your loss of interest in music, sadness, anxiety attacks, disturbed sleep and thoughts of not living anymore suggest the your are going into depression.

It may be due to stress which you might be facing at school/college.
I have seen many of the adolescents stressed out and depressed due to school/college pressure.

I think you need a professional help.
You should consult your nearest psychiatrist for detailed evaluation.
Depression, if confirmed, is easily treated by antidepressant drugs like escitalopram or paroxetine (prescription drugs).
Also, some relaxation techniques like progressive muscle relaxation and biofeedback will help to control anxiety.

You can practice deep breathing and meditation to keep your mind relaxed.

Slowly, you will be able to enjoy your music like before.

Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.
