Question : The dysfunction of my home, the loneliness, zero support, almost total isolation, hopelessness and a bleak future with RA have taken an extreme toll on me. I can find no reason to get out of bed and rarely do so. I have seen two different therapists over three years, I felt they were bored or frustrated with me and stopped. I no longer have beliefs or expectations of anything good. What is there to do at this point?

Brief Answer:
Faith in God, social work can be of help...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

I am sorry to hear about your loneness.

Psychotherapy is a good support in such cases.

However, you need to have a close relative with you. If you have brothers or sisters, try to call them and have various conversations.

If you do not have siblings, then, you can try talking or getting out with your relatives.

Social works can also be beneficial although you are a RA. Try to find places where they need volunteers to help them handle various social works : with children, persons in need, etc.

There are some of my patients that find this very helpful and provided them a hope for getting up in the morning.

At the end, what is the most important is to believe in God. That good be a perfect motivation for open your eyes in the morning. Think it this way: you have two perfect eyes and can see what's around you. There are many other people that have eyes but not eyesight and starve to see what you can see.

We all have our life and will enjoy it until the end. Be faithful and you'll enjoy opening your eyes in the morning.

All the best and God bless!
