Brief Answer:
Try antihistamine and mefanamic acid

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.

Diaper rash is usually chemical irritant dermatitis. but sometimes it can get worse with superimposed bacterial or fungal infection. Try diaper cream after cleaning with water after each urination or passing motion. Other options is vaseline.

To get immediate relief from irritation and crying try antihistamine like cetrizine syrup. I usually prescribe around 2 ml two times a day at this age for babies in my clinic.
Also I usually advice mefanamic acid around same dose (should be used only rarely not regularly) to decrease pain if it is very severe .

It is better to consult your doctor and get him examined if not improving.

Wishing your child speedy recovery.
