Question: I have excessive gas, diarrhea. Was recently diagnosed with diverticulosis. Have tried gas x, and Pepto-Bismol. The pepto worked best but after the third application I was struck with a terrible itch, all over my back, I do take warfin and entresto for my heart. What is the best anti-gas OTC medicine I can take???

Brief Answer:
Maybe you have a digestive enzyme deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM,

Maybe you have a digestive enzyme deficiency.

Have you had a sonography of abdomen --if not get it done. You may have a gall bladder or liver problem.

Also do get your serum amylase test done to check for any Pancreatic involvement.

Meanwhile you can try an OTC digestive enzyme preparation twice a day along with a liquid antacid containing Simethicone, before meals. I think it will help you.

Please revert back.
Regards
