Question : had diarrhea for two days and stool is black.just today started black stool

if 'pepto' is pepto-bismol then be warned that bismuth will cause black stool. If you had black stool before taking it then you should be assessed by a doctor for potential gastrointestinal bleeding. Black tarry stool is usually the result of digested blood inside the gastrointestinal tract. The bleeding is commonly located in the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract (stomach, duodenum). If this is the case with then this is a medical emergency and should be dealt with right away.
