Question : I started having diarrhea 48 hours ago. I haven't had a sizable bowel movement, mostly gas and maybe a tablespoon of feces. I've eaten toast bananas jello and broth. When I feel a bowel movement coming on I have about 30 seconds to get to the toilet. I've taken Imodium with no luck.

Any diarrhea which lasts longer than 48 hours should be checked by a doctor. Most probable reason of your diarrhea is bacterial infection. You may have some blood in the stool and mucus.

You should consult your doctor. Stool test should be done. Antibiotic seems advisable. Please do not wait with it as you may get dehydrated.
