Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Pain In The Side

Question: Yes, I have diarrhea every day. And now I have pain in my right side. Could that be from taking Turmeric and aspirin?

Hi,

I have gone through your question carefully and understood your concerns.

Turmeric is well known to cause diarrhea. However, I need to know first :
- when did you start taking turmeric (prior or after diarrhea)?
- for how long have you been using both turmeric and aspirin?

For the moment, if I was your caring doctor would advise stop using turmeric and aspirin and see if any improvement.

Thank you. I think i need to quit taking the turmeric. I have been taking the 81 mg aspirin every since i started taking Evista about 20 years. I started taking turmeric for inflammation in my hip and leg about 6 months ago.

If diarrhea started 6 months ago too, then I advise to stop taking turmeric and observe what would happen with your diarrhea.

Increase water intake with OTC ORS and probiotics.
