Question : i have diahrrea that came on yesterday. one bout of vomiting but nothing since. no fever but sleeping alot. had similar symptons 10 days ago with fever but went away in 3 days

Hi,

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Having diarrhea with vomiting might be due to:
- food poisoning (foods you consumed prior to symptoms appearing )
- viral gastroenteritis (stomach bug )

I advise to :
- take plenty of fluids (especially water with ORS to replace the lost electrolytes through vomiting and diarrhea )

- you are reporting to be using antidiarrheic drug, can you please specify what exactly you are taking
Pepto bismol or tasectan can be among them

- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora

- have light meals ( soups, yoghurt, banana, rice, apple sauce, toast )
