Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea, Hot Flashes And Pounding Headache

Question : I woke up two nights ago with a bathroom emergency (colon) but when I arrived in BthR My head was pounding greatly with each heart beat (not painful tho) and I was having hot flushing . Got scared and went for blood pressure cuff couldn't find it. Had to return to bathroom and have diarehea (?). Pounding stopped somewhat, then husband got up and found blood pressure machine, took it and was 144/89 by that time. I take blood pressure meds and usually run 126/82 or 79. I was scared by this attack I've never felt anything like this. I was already scheduled for MRI soon for other symptons (but not this). What could be going on? According to my research on Google these don't sound like stroke symptons.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to the diarrhea and discomfort related to diarrhea.

The pounding headache could be explained by the high blood pressure at the moment.

Anyway, an isolated high blood pressure value does not indicate uncontrolled high blood pressure.

It may be related to the pain, physical effort or emotional stress.

An electrolyte imbalance due to diarrhea or inflammation could also cause these troubles.

But, your symptoms do not seem to be related to a stroke.

I would just recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values frequently during the day, to exclude possible uncontrolled high blood pressure.
