Question : Hi Doctor, I've been on Doxyclcline Hyclate 100 mg. for about 5 days now. Whether I eat the nuts & veggies, or don't eat the nuts, veggies & fruits I've been having watery diarrhea. Should I continue till the 10 day dosage is done?

Hi

Doxycycline hyclate is a tetracycline antibiotic used to treat or prevent infections with bacteria.

When you take the drug it kills the bad and also the good bacteria in the intestinal flora that is needed for stool formation.

I will advise you to take probiotic group of drugs twice daily after food with your doctors advise till you complete the course of your antibiotic as it will supply good bacteria in your intestinal flora which will stop your diarrhea and make your stool formed.

You should complete 10 day dosage of the drug.
