Question : Diarrhea , often explosive, that has continued off and on for over six weeks. Have tried yoghurt, probiotics, even fasting to calm it. But it continues. Sometimes the color is almost black the last couple of days.

I am sorry for the situation you are in. At this point, I highly recommend to run:
- stool analysis for malabsorption
- culture of feces
- examination of stool for ova/parasites
- fecal occult blood test

Six weeks is too long for having black and explosive stool.
