Brief Answer:
First confirm the diagnosis of IBS with your Doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. Iam Dr.Amit Jain (DM, Gastroenterologist).

First of all I will like you to visit a Gastroenterologist to confirm it is IBS only.

Simple way of it is that symptoms you are having must be long term but without any alarming feature like weight loss, fever, loss of apetite etc.

Now if is IBS-C that is IBS with constipation as you have mentioned I will like to advise the followings which I found very useful in my patients with this condition are:
1. Take lots of fibres and fluid in your diet. Take lots of fruits and vegetables. May add psyllium fibres. If still not relieved with constipation then add polyethylene glycol which is very useful and now considered to be first recommended laxative
2. For abdominal cramps take tablet librax which is a combination of chlordiazepoxide and clidinium or tablet normaxin which has dicyclomine in addition. This both medicine I found very useful in my patients with abdominal cramps. However you should discuss with your doctor about these medicines and get prescription

I hope I have answered your query. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too.

Wish you a good health
