Brief Answer:
Diastolic dysfunction or impaired Diastolic compliance

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Diastolic dysfunction or impaired Diastolic compliance refers to the decline in performance of one (usually the left ventricle) or both (left and right) ventricles during diastole. It is also called Diastolic heart failure.

Any condition or process that leads to stiffening of the left ventricle can lead to diastolic dysfunction e.g long standing hypertension,Aortic stenosis ,
Diabetes,
Echocardiography is used to diagnose impaired Diastolic compliance or diastolic dysfunction.
Diuretics, particularly aldosterone antagonist like spironolactone often combined with frusemide, a loop diuretic (Lasilactone) are useful, as these patients develop significant congestion.
