Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Conceiving Despite Going Through Infertility Treatment

Question: Hi,

I am trying to conceive from past 2 years but no success yet. I am 34 years old. The readings for AMH and latest FSH from my last cycle is 1.76 and 15.89 respectively. Recently I tried for IVF second time with LH : 6.38 mIU/ml ; E2: 58.21 and FSH : 15.89 . On the day of ovum retrieval , my doctor was able to pickup 4 eggs out of which 2 were fine. But none of those 4 eggs fertilized next day ; so no success again. I know donor egg is one of the solution ; but I want to try with my own eggs one more time . I have planned to get ready for next IVF in coming 2-3 months by taking multivitamins , doing yoga .
Please suggest some medicines that can increase AMH level and lowers FSH level ; in general help me in balancing my hormones.
Right now doctor has prescribed me following medicines :
Evion
Ecosprin
agipreg
ovigyn DSR 75mg

Please suggest if there is any other medicine that can help me in improving my chances of having good quality eggs with high numbers.

Hi,

I understand your concerns about failed IVF.

Following is my reply :

1) Your AMH is not very low. You should have got more eggs.

2) You probably need different ways of stimulation to get more eggs.

3) There has to be good reason as to why there was fertilization failure? We're all 4 eggs immature?

4) I think you need to see another IVF center for proper stimulation and ICSI.

5) There is no way to increase AMH or decrease FSH. these are related to decreased ovarian reserve which cannot be changed.

Thanks for the reply. I have few more questions.

What are the chances of natural conception in my case. Shall I try naturally for sometime? What are chances of conception with my own eggs ?

Does ovarian stimulation process during IVF treatment decrease the number of eggs ? I mean does this stimulation process negatively impact ovaries and reduce the chances of natural conception?

During this latest IVF cycle doctor was able to select one 6 eggs on day 2 during AFC.

My AMH level is not constant from past 1 year , in Nov 2014 it was 1.60 , in XXXXXXX 2015 it was 0.19 (as per IVF clinic not sure if that's correct) and now 1.76 that means AMH can be increased .

1) You should not waste more time naturally as your eggs are less. Go ahead with IVF in another standard hospital.

2) You have chances of pregnancy with your own eggs.

3) Stimulation protocols help in getting good number of eggs.

4) AMH levels don't increase. The report seems to be wrong.

5) I feel you should change the hospital as you got immature eggs.

What are the side effects of ivf procedure if I go through it 3 rd time?

Please advise some medicine that I can take for next 2 months for good response. Also suggest medicine for good utrine lining.

Hi,

There are no considerable or worrying effects of IVF 3rd time.

No need for any medicines for you as of now. Uterine lining can be improved by estradiol tablets which your doctor will prescribe before embryo transfer.
