Question : I have PCOS, and currently, there is a cyst in my right ovary. I have been asked by the doctor to take Meprate for 10 days, from August 17, so that I can get my periods on time (my previous cycle was on July 27). Can I still become pregnant in this cycle?

Welcome to HCM,

I can understand your concerns,

PCOS can cause irregular periods, infertility, acnes, facial hair growth. Patient can have one or more than one symptoms. For each symptom, there is different management.

If you are suffering from irregular periods, meprate will help in getting period.

If there is difficulty in conceiving, you should take tablet clomiphen citrate 50 mg from 3rd of your period for 5days ( prescription drug). Consult your gynecologist.

Along with this you should take tablet metformin 500mg ( prescription drug) and you should change your lifestyle like healthy diet and exercises including brisk walk for 10mins.these will help in reducing PCOS symptoms.
