Brief Answer:
Things will settle down in 48 hours!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing HCM

Mild problems like bloating belching etc are common 24-48 hours post endoscopy.Don't worry ,Things would most likely settle down within 48 hours.Mild constipation is may be because of use of anaesthetics .For symptomatic relief you can take a over counter Proton pump inhibitor like pantoprazole 40 mg once daily for 2days!

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Continue taking pantoprazole as advised by your primary consultant

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Continue taking pantoprazole as advised by your primary consultant.
Most likely things are going to settle down in 48-72 hours.

If problem persists after 72 hours(Max) visit the nearest Emergency department and get an Ultrasound abdomen done.

A probiotic can be taken along with pantoprazole, it will provide you symptomatic relief in constipation. As constipation is mild, laxative need not be taken right now. As the levels of anaesthetic administered wane off you will start feeling better.

Thank you!

I had a bowel movement and have been passing some gas but my stomach is still a lottle sore. Could this possibly be from the biopsies that were taken during my endoscopy? I feel somewhat better with a heating pad on

Brief Answer:
Yes it is because of the biopsies !

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
Yes while taking a biopsy sample a part of the tissue is cut, though very small but it will take some time to heal up.You can take a mild anti inflammatory like diclofenac if soeness seems more.
Natural healing will take few days!
Thanks
