Food. I am 75 yrs old
Needs work up and management for dysphagia
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Difficulty swallowing food ( dysphagia) at age of 75 has many possible causes and need thorough work up like endoscopy, barium meal studies , esophageal manometry, dynamic swelling studies and complete clinical correlation to find out. Commonly acid reflux problem ( GERD ) , esophageal spasm, foreign body and strictures can cause it. Less common causes of diverticular, some mass obstructing the bowel, neurological illness, scleroderma, radiation therapy etc can cause it .
Visit your doctor and let them help. Till then shit to fluids diet and avodi alcohol, soda caffeine etc. Good luck.
I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
Regards
Khan
