Question: do i need to go to a doctor immediately? here are my symptoms: its very hard to swallow food, it sometimes gets stuck in my throat, if it does i start to throw it up, i blacked out from sneezing due to a massive headache, getting really bad hot and cold flashes or waves, i cant focus on anything for more then 5 seconds, im getting really tired and my nose is plugged bad, breathing hurts my chest a lot but no sound difference, and im about to get kicked out of college because of lack of focus. (im enrolled in a very strict program)... should i go to the doctors?

Brief Answer:
Yes you should see a doctor soon

Detailed Answer:
Hi. Thank you for writing to HCM.

You seem to be having a bad upper respiratory tract infection which includes
1. Stuffed/blocked nose (due to common cold/sinusitis or allergies). Severe headache can be explained by this as well.
2. Difficulty in swallowing occasionally may be due to viral pharyngitis or swelling around the esophageal opening
3. Blacking out from sneezing hints towards a possible neurological involvement which needs evaluation
4. Hot and cold waves with weakness suggests a possible viral infection which is getting systemic
5. Chest pain while breathing may be due to fatigue or viral upper respiratory tract involvement

In my opinion you need an evaluation for all of these, bed rest and medical management. The symptoms appear to be severe enough to warrant medical attention.

It is therefore my advise that you see a doctor or visit the ER at the earliest.

Hope this helps. Do let me know if you have any further questions.
