Suggest Treatment For Discomfort In The Chest Area

Question: Hello Doctor.

I am 34 years old. Last few days, i am experiencing discomfort in my chest (both right & left). The discomfort has started from the day, where i was assisting in lifting up heavy object (lifting bike to move aside, carrying heavy object & driving bike continuously to my office which is 12 km up & down).

Last few days, i had pain on my left chest area where chest & hands meets (joints). I could not get the tell u the right area, there is a bone below the neck and above the chest and it pains over there.

sometimes it pains on the left and sometime it pains on the right. yesterday, i had severe pain on the right check. then took gelusil and the pain faded away. Today morning, when i walk i get injecting pain on the right side of the chest (again it is not the center of the chest but on the flesh part near the joint).

once i sit and relax, the pain fades away. Please advise. I am thinking too much about this and worried.

Regards,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Dont Worry. Its due to muscle injury

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear

Am Dr Bhanu Partap and am a cardiology practitioner, I have read the details provided by you and i understand your discomfort.

Fisrt of all i would like to assure you that your pain doesnt look to be of cardiac origin and also you have done some unusual heavy weight stuff in the past few days. Due to this activity probably your muscles and tendons have sustained some injuries which will take few days to recover.

So its advisable not to do any heavy activity for few days, for pain relief you can take some pain killer after food or apply some muscle relaxant spray like Volini and take good protein diet and if possible avoid bike riding for few days.

And If you smoke then i would like to suggest you to get one ECG and ECHO done and send the reports to me. You can do that by asking your question directly on my profile for me to answer.

I hope this information will relieve your worries.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap

Dear Doctor,

Thank you for your kind response.

Your response was a breather to me.

I do not smoke and hence i will seek the help of pain killers & gel for the pain to subside. Meanwhile, i would be grateful, if you could kindly suggest me the pain killer & Gel.

One more sincere request, can you kindly tell me the symptoms for cardiac problem, so that i can relate to it and get medical treatment in future. There are many in the Web, which i do not rely.

Once again, thank you so much doctor.

Regards,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Hello Again

Detailed Answer:
Its a pleasure and an honor helping someone in need. You can take Tab Tramadol once daily for 3 days after food. That will be enough hopefully. Good to hear that you dont smoke.

Symptoms in case of heart attack are:

1. Sudden onset of central or generalized chest discomfort along with pain radiating to left arm, jaw, neck or back sometimes.

2. sudden onset of breathing difficulty

3. Profuse sweating, Dizziness, giddiness

Hopefully this information will answer your query. If you do not have any other query then kindly close the discussion and rate the answer.

Kind Regards
