Suggest Treatment For Diverticulitis

can monitor
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Diverticulitis refers to inflammation and/or infection of the diverticula.
It is understandable to be concerned about residual pain but if it is only mild and less than it was initially, then you do not need to go back to the hospital.
You can continue to use the analgesia.
In general the treatment of a mild diverticulitis involves : (1)a 7 to 10 day course of antibiotics,
(2) pain medication- the pain can take 1 to 2 weeks to completely resolve.
IF the pain worsens instead of improve then you would need to seek medical attention
(3)clear liquid diet for a few days till the symptoms start to improve (initial improvement in 2 to 3 days, this continues till symptoms resolve)
The diet is advanced as symptoms improve.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any additional questions
