Question : my wife, 55, began a few days ago of feeling lighted headed upon standing straight up after bending down doing yard work, now she is experiencing stomach ache, joint and muscle pain....any thoughts
Brief Answer:
Could be orthostatic hypotension
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome.
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
Light headedness, giddiness or dizziness on changing posture could be Orthostatic hypotension (decrease in bp on change of posture). It is mainly because of dehydration.
So make her drink adequate water & she will be fine.
Joint & muscle pain can be because of a lot of reasons. Tramadol will be good for her or Diclofenac with a muscle relaxant.
For abdominal pain you have to get a ultrasound of abdomen done to rule out the diagnosis.
Thanks & take care
