HI
I am Dr Mittal
I am assuming you want to know what more can be done besides CPAP for drowsiness, in view of your OSA.
I think you already know that weight gain is going to be a problem for you.
So I think it would be better to stick to an exercise regime.
This way you may be able to keep the weight in check.
Its absolutely imperative to control your weight.
Continue your CPAP. MAke sure the mask is well applied and tight enough. Leakage makes the CPAP ineffective.
Avoid alcohol, and coffee/tea. It increases the apnea by relaxing abdominal valves.
Final option would be surgical- uvuloplasy.
Here we remove the uvuka and adjacent part. This makes the cavity bigger, allowing you to breathe more comfortably.
Best of luck
Dr Mittal
