Question : Woke up this morning dizzy, then got horrible diarrhea, then vomiting . Was in the hospital one week ago for high white count am post MI 09/02/2015 , complete cardiac arrest had angioplasty with stint . Just want to make sure it could just be stomach virus.

                                    Brief Answer:
Can you tell us what medications you are on? Some of this could be meds.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM: This indeed could be just a virus or bacterial infection however also note, this could be reaction to medications that you were started after your hear attack, and have you changed your diet? Did you have any fevers and chills with this, also have you been drinking enough fluids? In any event I would call your cardiologist to explain what is going on to make sure that you do not have any post interventional complications. There is one in particular called Dressler's syndrome. I hope this helps.

                                    Brief Answer:
You have many medcines that will make you dizzy, nauseous and vomit.
Detailed Answer:
Note: Furosemide, Spironolactone, Lisinopril, Carvedilol all together and being new in your medicine cabinet will cause your blood pressure to get low causing what we call orthostatic hypotension, (perceived dizziness) causing pre-syncope (near fainting). These fainting/dizzy episodes as you can imagine will cause you to have nausea and even vomiting. I do not that you were started on all low doses, please call you doctor and see if they can be introduced slowly and not all at once. Do you have a lot of edema/fluid in your legs? I would maybe alternate the furosemide to every other day, un/fortunately the others are very beneficial to your heart and will help "heal" it moving forward.
