Suggest Treatment For Double Ear Infection

default
Posted on Thu, 5 Feb 2015
Question: For the past year I have been diagnosed with double ear infections. 6 of them since last winter. I went to ENT 3 days ago, he says he doubts if I have ever had an ear infection at all. I am completly fatigued, pain into my jaw under my ears. I am coughing so bad my back hurts. Nasaeus, and feel like I am short of breath walking up the stairs. I am 30 years old, with 3 kids. The antibiotics are not working anymore and I just get sick again right away :( Otherwise totally healthy. I am at a loss. I am so physically tired, daily activites are seeming impossible. I am a smoker, but do not drink.

Brief Answer:
viral or allergic bronchitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, you might be having viral or allergic bronchitis.
Antibiotics work only when you have secondary bacterial infection.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have suggested duolin and budecort nebulization for cough, antihistamines + mucolytics combination drugs twice daily for 3 to 5 days. Steam inhalation daily twice may be helpful. Avoid oily and cold items. Curds and citrus fruits to be avoided. If symptoms persists for more than 3 days of treatment, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
