Question : yes I have had this cough for a few months- seems worse now then it has been. its like a dry cough and at times I get this tickle in my throat which throws me into a coughing fit. when I have these coughing fits I can hear some congestion.I do have acid reflux but I am on medication for that. I thought maybe it could be allergies. I feel ok otherwise. again lately its been off and on constantly throughout the day.
Brief Answer:
Your probably having allergy .
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As per your clinical history it appears that you are having allergic Rhinitis with postnasal discharge with acid reflux.
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Saline nasal spray & Steam Inhalation twice daily,
Plenty of fluids ,
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination ,
Esomeprazole 40 mg for acid reflux which is better for acid reflux .
You will need to see your doctor to get a prescription.
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
