Brief Answer:
Can sip a teaspoonful of water and stay indoors

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail. It would have been better if you can tell me the surgery you are scheduled to undergo shortly. However, for a dry mouth, you may have a sip of water from a teaspoon and that is sufficient to make you comfortable. A teaspoonful is usually 5 ml of water and that small amount will do no harm. Please avoid intake of more than one teaspoonful water.

You may choose to be indoors in an air conditioned room where the temperature is set to a comfortable 23 degrees centigrade which will keep you at comfort.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Wishing you a safe surgery and quick recovery.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
