Suggest Treatment For Dry Skin After Taking Daktacort Cream

default
Posted on Mon, 17 Oct 2016
Question: I am following up from my last enquiry. I have attached photos of todays date. the last photos were 12th sept. I have used daktacort which is anti fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti bacterial. I feel slight improvement of the redness but am concerned by what still looks like peeling of the skin or darkened skin or lightened skin. I don't see the skin peeling so not sure if this is overly dry skin I am dealing with now.

Brief Answer:
Superficial fungal infection of skin with eczematous reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Close-up photos are not of very good quality.Since you have improvement with Daktacort cream (hydrocortisone, miconazole),you need to continue with that .In addition you can take a course of systemic antifungal drug like Fluconazole (standard dose 150 mg orally daily) for 5 days (available on prescription).Once the lesions regress completely apply moisturizing cream containing aloe verea (e.g Moiste) regularly .
